Lover’s rock radio was started by Mr Loverman in 2010 broadcasting from the East of England Region. He first started his dj career in the late 90s playing at weddings, christenings and private events. Loverman went on to join his first Pirate radio station based in North London known as the award winning Ragga Fm 99.6 he moved from there to Station FM 89.8 finally moving to West London’s No1 reggae station Roots Fm 95.4. Loverman was awarded this name back in the early 90s after the song Mr Loverman recorded by Shabba Ranks. The name Mr Loverman was to go hand in hand with the music he played, British Lover Rock. Loverman over the years shared his music on Pirate radio with a wealth of music listeners who are dedicated lovers rock fans. His music has separated him from other djs as he plays obscure lovers rock as well as the much loved favourites. He continued to support lover’s rock music by hosting a very popular show on Roots fm 95.4 on Thursday evenings between 4-6pm. Moving away from playing vinyl, Loverman set up a YouTube home page, displaying his music on the internet to reach a wider audience base.
